Any owner of a traveller book has probably heard of Port Stephens in the NSW.
It is the ideal stop on your way up north on the east coast.
It has the white sand, the long dunes, the bays, the open ocean, dolphins, whales, kangaroos, national reserves, day trip sailing boats, and high sightseeing points. To summarize, it is a tasty collection of Australia’s charms.
Mount Tomaree is a high point that spoils you with a 360° view on bays and ocean. Basically, if you were lost in a forest, it would be the tree you want to climb to pick your direction.
For such amazing view, you would expect a taught climb. However, here a nicely balanced, almost generous rewards for so little effort to get up there. The walk in itself is more of an enjoyable tiny up hill adventure.
